That's just Florida? Technically, my house is surrounded by alligators and pythons (and 3 species of pit viper), also had a bunch of brown widows and wasps. I can understand why you'd be scared if you don't live here. There was an infamous plane crash in the Everglades and i don't think anyone was attacked by gators, as usual, hypothermia is the biggest danger when talking about ppl in water (even in the warm/hot areas like Miami).

@IAMGiftbearer "heat stroke is no joke" and many people suffer from too much sun or too much heat when they visit, for sure. As for gators, natives don't go swimming in those brackish waters and def keep their yappies away from the ponds. Disney had a problem gator or two killing dogs and attacking a preschooler? but some dudes love it, so there are gator bites in many restaurants. I brought up snakes bc we get various snakes in our backyards, which is why we know what to look for. I can see visitors not knowing any of this, and having a healthy respect for the wildlife. just saying it sounds scary if you're from the north, but i'm not scared, i just have respect to minimize risk. but i have have moved many a black racer and enjoyed the other "strays"
