  4. My mom stopped drinking but smoked a pack/day with me and i was born at 3lbs. I grew up with smoking in cars and at home. I tried smoking but it makes me feel sick so I quit. Sir/maam, get to a shrink that can prescribe the right meds so you can quit. Stop blaming your mother for your biology and choices. Addiction is a bitch but it's YOUR struggle, no one else's. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you will overcome it.

  11. It's so creepy. I have heard some (one "note") and understand machinery noises carrying on the atmosphere, but the "musical" one defies explanation. Reminds me that we're just ants on a huge rock hurtling through space.... No wonder we have myths about gods at war.

  16. If I'm ever a ghost, I've told my family that i will try to send the fibonacci sequence. We've practice it, and it's my knock at the door. It's too unique to be mistaken for natural or random sounds. And if there's some kind of dialation, it might still get recognized. We'll try to send a signal from the other side, if possible.

  22. Hey now. I love local services. No one hates garbagemen and "there's no song called F tge Fire Department". But psycology has shown us that we treat ppl outside our personal circle as things, idea, or even "other". So those 220 ppl in DARPA, even at their best, are only solving problems, not workng with ppl. Someone asked them to help with guerrilla warfare and they came up with agent orange. Then they thought of LIDAR, which you can get is you buy the right Apple device.
