Hate to go to The Nazis, but they were great engineers, and Mengele showed that great minds can have both a great disregard of human life and had a great deal of competence. I'm sure in the modern day, he could hire biochemists to do the science, and then others to deliver it. Secondly, US history is full of killers that were very competent, many times they use simple methods because those carry less risk, but there are plenty of "smart" killers. Lex, you're being naïve in this--notice how Dr. Weinstein didn't even respond to that line of thought.
