  2. Exactly, i buy everyday things if they are on sale, pricier things if they are on sale, and odd things that are cheap. If you're a smart shopper, you can find deals. And make sure to use a card that gets you cash back!

  3. Uncle Sam steals it through devaluing the dollar. I think you need to keep your emergency savings in money market accts or some high yield savings. And then everything else after that needs to go into investment. Buy only what you absolutely need, treat expired food in your house as a personal failing, and sell or donate most of your "stuff". Real wealth is not material
