  7. acid junkie you don’t understand our representatives democracy. We elect a party. They can choose who heads that party. MEPs are elected but they can’t enact legislation. If the people that can be elected in the EU don’t have any power that’s not democracy.

  10. acid junkie yes people were lied to during the referendum. The BBC were the worst but we still won despite all the lies. As for a second vote. I agree but you have to wait 41 years as that’s how long we had to wait for a second vote.

  11. Stefan Siegmann democracy is what it is. Demos means people. The people decided. “Qualified majority voting” applied to referendums would rarely produce a winner. Applied to the 1975 referendum would mean we would never have joined!!! You say you respect the vote but you clearly don’t as you want to keep voting until you get the “Right” answer. You make a good point about the fish. The EU has been stealing our resources for decades. Another reason why we voted to leave.
