Comments by "Billy Bob" (@davidrobertsemail) on "Joe Biden says Supreme Court nomination is a “threat to democracy” - BBC News" video.
The difference is the democrats didn’t hold the senate. Obama has his nominee but no votes. Trump has his nominee and the votes. The BBC reporting is pure propaganda. Report the facts for once.

Biden will be high on adderall

Peter Kropotkin 29 times it’s happened in the past actually. 25 were nominated.

thenightowl the McConnell rule. It's no confirmations in a presidential election year when senate and presidency are held by different parties. Doesn't apply this year.

Garry G Anonymous sources. ;-)

Joseph Nye Twenty-nine times there has been a vacancy in a presidential election year. Presidents have made nominations all 29 times. Of those 29 nominations 19 were made at a time the Senate and the White House were of the same political party, and 17 of these 19 were confirmed. There’s a big difference in the Senate, with whether the Senate is of the same party of the president or a different party than the president. If the parties are the same, the Senate confirms the nominee. The 10 times When the senate was controlled by a different party than the president only twice were they confirmed.

jdfreality Biden will not be as bad as you think as he will be on adderall. Trump knows this and has asked for a drug test before debates. The media will spin the debates for Biden no matter what. They are already rigged. The “Conservative” Fox News host is a Biden voter. He hates Trump. That’s the only conservative Trump will get.

Greg L I believe she’s left handed too

Bryan V right to nominate. Senate was controlled by republicans. Rarely do they get confirmed in ejection years.

You can disagree with the McConnell rule, which was previously known as the Biden rule, but you should describe it accurately. It's no confirmations in a presidential election year when senate and presidency are held by different parties. Doesn't apply this year.

International RTG that’s the constitution not gerrymandering.

long99brit the timing is irrelevant. The president is president every day of his term. Other nominees have gone though in 19 days, 32 days and RBG herself 42! There’s no reason not to. If democrats had the opportunity not one of them wouldn’t take it and the BBC would cheer them on.
1
International RTG both sides gerrymander house districts. As far as slave owners go. Who didn’t own them then? Kamala Harris is descended from slave owners.

Joseph Nye quoting him out of context.
1
Joseph Nye he was referring to the senate. If people wanted Obama’s nominee they would vote for Clinton and vote democrat to take control of the senate. Clinton lost and the senate republican majority was increased.
1
Joseph Nye context is everything with his quote.
1
John Texas Clinton was the Presidential candidate that lost. Ergo she didn’t get to nominate anyone. Trump did though ;-)
