We could generously offer them tariff free access to our market if they reciprocate. 1 in 3 cars sold in the UK is German. We are the biggest export market for the German car industry. How many German workers would be out of work if they put tariffs on us? Besides these arguments are 3 years old. The referendum has been won.

  50. Alex gasshjahdj most of the world trades with WTO rules. Currently we collect WTO tariffs on goods coming to the UK from outside the E.U. we then give that money to the E.U.! We wouldn’t have to after we left. We could include the removal of these taxes as part of negotiated trade deals with other countries. Thus exports would be more competitive and our citizens would have lower prices. What’s not to like.
