aperson22222 they are focused on reversing Brexit. They are not confused. They all voted to remain.
7
Tyler Fay the plan was to leave. Politicians voted to remain and they have been trying to reverse Brexit ever since.

This is more pro EU propaganda. We voted to leave nearly three years ago! Nobody voted to leave a little bit. A second referendum would be a catastrophe for democracy. No deal Brexit is what we actually voted for! Even parliament voted for no deal as the default position.
3
Lord Hades I would add that the politicians and the establishment are doing everything possible to reverse it.
2
Monty MF no deal or clean break or real Brexit. All the leading campaigners were clear leaving the EU meant leaving the single market and customs union. That means no deal. Nobody voted for a deal we voted to leave.
2
none given your argument is that leaving in name only would be honoring the referendum result? I can’t debate that as it’s not serious.
2
none given we waited 41 years for a second vote. If you are still alive 41 years after we leave maybe you will have another vote.

Emmanuel Robert plenty of immigrants voted to leave as well. It seems everyone that wants to control mass immigration is a racist. Mass immigration has brought us massive FGM, honour killings, forced marriages, knife crime. Or am I a racist for saying that?
1
Emmanuel Robert personal insults aside so you admit immigration comes with problems. There are now hundreds of thousands of Roma in Britain. Never a problem until freedom of movement from Eastern Europe. Massive benefits fraud, cashpoint crime, pickpockets and begging. So where were you born? Parents? Grandparents? Great grandparents? I can go back hundreds of years. Can you Emmanuel?
1
E. B. C. It’s deliberately complex. The EU controls or has a hand in everything. It’s tentacles reach into our lives every day. Most people don’t realize it you are right. Getting out will have so many benefits as we will regain control over our lives.
1
li d the problem with quotes. All quotes. Is that without context they can be misleading. Often politicians are asked hypothetical questions for example. As for this quote from Hannan what was the context? Could he be referring to a future trade within Europe? The reality is everyone knew what leaving meant. It’s only now that it’s being revisited to morph the leave vote into Brino.
1
Monty MF context to quotes is everything. Farage has been asked a million questions about a million possible outcomes. We all know we voted to leave. Nobody voted to leave in name only. If you want me to quote how many people from remain said that they would respect the result.......and we know how that worked out.

Francois Ackermann WTO with side deals are what the rest of the world trades on.
1
Sven discussions were had about many things including forms of associate memberships. However the campaign was clear vote to leave or vote to stay. Vote leave won. The ballot didn’t have remain or leave a little bit on it.
1
undogmatisch we voted to leave. Yes there were areas where there were more leavers than remainers and vice versa. So what we voted to leave. A second referendum would be a catastrophe for democracy. The key word is second.
1
undogmatisch great argument. If you want a third I don’t mind you waiting 41 years.
1
undogmatisch I’m not sure what argument you are making. Do you think another referendum is a good thing? Just ignore the last one and have another?
1
none given if course but not leaving or leaving in name only wasn’t one of them.
1
none given so that’s your best argument.
1
none given that’s an argument a child might make. If you had won you wouldn’t have called it flawed or wanted another one. Just before the referendum many remainers were calling for leavers to respect the result because they thought that remain was going to win. Now it’s flawed and you want another one or simply to ignore the result! So much for democracy.
1
none given said the side that lost.....after you lost. This issue has divided our country for 50 years putting it directly to the people is reasonable. It’s not a trivial matter. Were you also against all the other referenda? Or just the ones you lost?
1
none given 26 million people voted in the 1975 referendum so was that a fringe topic then? So you are against Scottish referenda as well. I’m sure the Scots feel differently. How would they feel about your representative democracy argument? With your argument they could never leave even if every single Scot wanted to! Referenda should be used infrequently in my opinion in a representative democracy. The truth is this is a huge topic that has divided the country for 50 years even if you believe otherwise. The referendum has happened now and the result should be respected. If you don’t like democracy then there are alternatives.

GoldenTV3 I’ll let you know when our politicians do what we told them to do three years ago.
1
Andrew Mitchell does that mean remainers were the ones who said the ice caps would be melted 5 years ago?
1
Andrew Mitchell why? Anything they produce is pure fiction.
1
Andrew Mitchell the important thing is we won the referendum.
