  3. Pete THE REAL Relentless economic migrants are not refugees. If they are seeking asylum then they should present themselves at the border. Instead they sneak across and only when they get caught do they say they are seeking asylum. If a Central American passes through Mexico without seeking asylum then they are not refugees they are economic migrants. A refugee seeks refuge in the FIRST safe country.

  8. Tracy Rowe do you think people from Central America who travel through one or more safe countries are still refugees despite refusing asylum in Mexico? They are not longer asylum seekers they are economic migrants. The children in cages photos were from Obama. I happen to think we shouldn’t let any in as to do do only encourages more to come. Many children are raped on their journey. We should not be encouraging them to come.

  9. Tracy Rowe you don’t know what an a asylum seeker is! The first safe country. After that it’s economic choice ie economic migrant. If you can’t justify why they don’t seek asylum in the first safe country you aren’t debating asylum.

Quoting the 51 convention highlights how out of date it is. In 51 they were dealing with tens of millions of displaced people after the war. Someone from Central America seeking a better life doesn’t compare to a Jew after the war. We disagree obviously. Do you believe in borders? Should we enforce them?
