Enough debt already! Let’s get back to work.

Stephen you can’t live in a bubble forever. If you want to stay safe stay inside. I assume you can provide for yourself.

Stephen we can’t borrow from our children forever. As to the safety of getting back to work. The numbers are pretty clear so far. States that have reopened have not seen any spike in deaths. Reported cases is irrelevant as testing is more widespread.

jaws ! We did what? Borrow money? We do it all the tine. However you do accept we have to pay it back. When our children grow up and 70% of the tax they pay goes on debt interest and not schools for their children will it be worth it?

Jakob Peter Raahauge Trump doesn’t write budget bills. Congress does.

David Henry waffle. If you didn’t like capitalism you would leave for Venezuela. Capitalism doesn’t have to mean out of control spending for ever bigger government programs. I live within my budget and I want my government to do the same. Which means cutting our cloth to fit.

David Henry so instead of cutting spending your solution is to raise taxes. Not just a little bit but massively. Even if you taxed the rich out of existence you still would need to tax the middle class heavily to get anywhere. Of course that would never work as the rich would all leave as money is mobile and the middle class would leave too or stop being productive. Why work hard if you don’t get to keep the proceeds of your labor. Tax the rich never pays for ever bigger government programs. Meanwhile the debt piles up.

jaws ! As you brought up Reagan. I’ll point you to the Laffer curve for economics 101 if you are interested in learning something.

David Henry you sound like you read a bit of the communist manifesto and think you understand economics, You can’t tax the rich out of existence. You can tax them out of countries though. As I pointed out above the laffer curve is well documented 30% of 100 is 30 100% of 0 is 0 If it makes you feel better I’m jealous of Bezos money as well. If Bezos is worth $140 billion and he could end poverty and the “housing crisis” then why did we just spend $3 trillion when we could have done it with $140 billion?
