1) Ukraine wasn't the part of the invasion force, it was a part of the occupation force that was approved by UN Security Council. 2) The US never inflicted sanctions on a nation that just support Russia. Only for weapons and military equipment deliveries. 3) Westerners are largely disappointed about Iraq and Afghanistan wars. J. W. Bush promised to create a prosperous democratic states from Iraq and Afghanistan, but brought nothing but chaos and deaths. And his approval rating fell drastically as it became clear and there were mass protests in the West against a Rraq war.

@Alexander-vc3uy The US managed to create a lot of prosperous democratic countries with wars. Germany, Japan, South Korea. There was a belief that this is also possible in Iraq and Afghanistan.

@jonrotten31 There is no 'people of the Donbass' that unanimosly support Russian occupation. There were large pro-ukrainian rallies in 2014 in the Donbass, but Russian terrorist disperced them with violence and terror. And established a terrorist authoritarian regime where pro-ukrainian views are not tolerated.

Yanukovich was save in Kharkiv and later in Crimea when the Right sector occupied government quarter. Arsen Avakov came to him on behalf of Kiev to convince to continue to be a president. But Yanukovich refused, because his russian curators wanted him to create legitimacy problems to opposition. Zelensky refused to fullfill a few paragraphs of the Minsk agreements but not the most important one - withdrowal of heavy weapons. On April 27th, 2020 Zelensky conducted a new ceasefire that reduced casualties to zero until a new russian escalation. And even despite that escalation casualties hit a an all times low in 2021 - 7 civillians killed, 11 wounded.

@БогданБеркут there were 70 dead separatist soldiers in 2021 to be fair. That explains collateral damage to 7 killed and 11 wounded civilians.

@shao4167 Man, at the time Ukraine's army was absolutely destroyed by corruption and neglect. Ukraine's officials said that they could barely find and equip 5000 soldiers, who in no way could stop further Russian aggression. Every sovereign nation would need time, weapons and training in theese circumstances. There is no shame in it. And Ukraine's military budget + and western aid in no way could compete with Russia. The only thing it was worth for is to become a difficult target by building defense lines and buying western anti-tank weapons. And please, stop this BS about Putin caring for Russian minorities in Ukraine. He is the one who send mercenaries, instructors, weapons to make this conflict as bloody as possible and didn't say nothing when Poroshenko shelled them after the Minsk agreements. But when Zelensky finally put an end to it, reduced civilian deaths to 0 ,decreased military budget and quit long range missile program Russian minorities all of a sudden needed a protection? In 2021 only 7 civillians died in Donbass and now Donbass is a warzone where tens of thousands died and millions displaced and there is no end to it. Do you still believe that Putin cares about protecting someone? The real reasons behind this are: 1) Zelensky arrested the godfather to Putins children for treason. 2) Putin got an opportunity to attack from Belarus. 3) He saw Zelensky as a weak politician who is easily intimidated.

@shao4167 The West never supplied ukraine with long range missiles before 24 February, 2022. The best 'missle' Ukraine got from the West is Javelin (2,5 km range). The best missle Ukraine had is Soviet made Tochka-U (120 km range).

He also didn't say that there were Nazis, coups and thousands killed by LDPR separatists and russian occupiers, to be fair.

Когда Путин уже наконец положит конец нацизму и запретит ДШРГ Русич?
