Maybe it’s happening because the West renounced Christ, and chose individualism, wealth, and recreation over the harder tasks of family, community, and raising enough of its own children to inherit its civilization. Capitalism and socialism are two sides of the same rationalist coin, and both operate to undermine tradition when allowed to operate unimpeded.
