  8. I now wonder to what extent scientific authorities are even trustworthy, because no one themselves has done the experiments or examined the evidence scientific assertion is based on. Then many branches of “science” aren’t experimental, but are speculation based on observed evidence, with many unspoken assumptions that could be false. Especially modern astrophysics (heliocentrism) and macroevolution.
