  1. The Russian military had months to plan and they have military bases right next door in driving distance, yet they are being resisted by the Ukrainian citizens defending their country. The Russians having airfields just across the border with their top of the line 5th generation fighter aircraft and the Ukrainians having only old Mig-29s and Su-27s, yet the air superiority over some areas of Ukraine is still not totally under Russian control. Russia has a conscription army with only a one year service, making military training problematic. The Russians are sending their young poorly trained conscript soldiers into the Ukrainian "Meat Grinder" all because of Putin, with no "End Game" to pull them out. It’s turning into a nightmare situation for the Russian military if the war turns into a non-conventional warfare, a Guerrilla war. Every Ukrainian civilian they see could be a “Freedom Fighter” hiding weapons and waiting for an opportunity to strike against the Russians. The Russian military will be viewed as an enemy occupation force, having to subdue a large population under harsh treatment to keep their own casualties low against opponents that wears civilian clothing, and are not in military uniform. The Russians might control cities, but they will not be able to control the population if they people doesn‘t want them in their country. This will become an occupation force with roadblocks, checkpoints, and military garrisons throughout the occupied territories for years with the constant resistance attack on their forces. They will be protests and riots in the Russian occupied territories and in the rest of the world against Russia. The myth of Russia having a strong military was all “Smoke and Mirror” propaganda by Putin if he can’t stand up against the peaceful nation of Ukraine using ordinary citizens to defend their country against his aggression, that’s why he is now threatening the world with nuclear war.
