  1. Initial reports say that the US Air Force CV-22 Osprey was flying level when a engine fire occurred and diverted to the closes airport to land. Civilian eyewitness reported they saw the Osprey rollover before the crash. The Osprey has mechanical gearing that allows both engines to power both rotors if one engine fails. It appears multiple failures had occurred; engine failure and gearbox failure.
