Out of court settlement means that what she said was true, otherwise the lawsuit would have been withdrawn. The monetary settlement was given to charity.

Wagner took over a year of heavy fighting in Bakhmut to gain a few meters and they drove into Russian in mere hours without resistance.

The Bayesian had a crew of 10 and had 12 passengers. Only the yacht’s chef died, and 6 passengers are missing and presumed drowned. The captain of the Bayesian, James Cutfield 51, told Italian police that he wasn’t monitoring the weather closely and the ship’s retractable keel was raised, even with an anchor depth of 160 feet. Lowering the retractable keel would have added stability and made it harder to capsize.

It's only a matter of time when it will be attacked again as soon as Ukraine receives the US ATACMS that make it in range of conventional weapons and not just attacked by specialized drones.

@Durnyful The yacht's mast stood 72.27 meters (237 feet) high above the designated water line, just short of the world's tallest mast which is 75.2 meters, according to Guinness World Records. The retractable keel allows Bayesian to dock in harbors with enough water depth. The unanswered question is why was it retracted in a deep anchorage.

@andrewashmore8000 Even a thin fin keel will exsert a moment force against the water to counter act the wind force on the mast to keep from capsizing. Even kids sailing dinghies knows in high winds to drop the center board or side boards to help from capsizing.

“…I have the weather charts in front of me here…start the engines and pull up the anchor or release it automatically, put the bow to the wind and lower the keel…He believes the yacht would have "went down" after water "started to enter" within "six minutes." Giovanni Costantino — who is the CEO of The Italian Sea Group, the company that now owns Perini Navi, which built the Bayesian in 2008 from an Italian interview. The blame game has started.

An underwater sonar search if for a body recover operation, not a search for someone living.

Nigel Farage should pass a law stating that people who smoke voluntarily bow out from the National Health Plan and will pay their own way for any smoking related illness and give the smokers cigarette tax exemption to pay for their own health care.

Putin is flaunting by thumbing his nose at the world. He’s also showing he has his foot on the necks of the Mongolians like a bully and the weaker Mongolians can't fight back and just grin for his photo ops to show his bulling!

When does decades of failure, lies, deceit, and greed by government officials and company management constitute a criminal charge after 72 people have been killed; no one has been charged in the deaths and brought before the courts.

One Russian mob family taking over Putin's mob family. All the mobilized conscripts are in Ukraine, the Wagner mercenaries will free their fellow Russian prisoners to join their ranks.

Nigel Farage; “Smokers ‘heroes of the nation..’” like the voters who voted for Brexit, there are more jobs and prosperity for all! “. "The Future’s So Bright, I Gotta wear shades…” song by Timbuk 3.

Prigozhin made deals within the Russian Kremlin to join their rebellion or sit it out and not interfere. At the last second the Kremlin had cold feet and wouldn’t join the rebellion, but would sit it out. Putin tried to crush the Wagner group instantly with ground troops, the Kremlin was slow to react; Putin knew at that moment he had trouble in the Kremlin. It became a stalemate between Vladimir Putin and Yevgeny Prigozhin‘s Wagner group to avoid a bloodshed that neither one would win politically. Prigozhin got to keep his mercenaries intact in Belarus with all charges dropped in Russia and Putin kicked out the Wagner mercenaries and made them Lukashenko’s problem.

Hezbollah used the old pager technology since it was a one-way communication, the pager could not send signals, only received them. They abandon mobile phones and the internet which can be traced and tracked.

Putin’s V-Day parade use to be over 2 hours long with lots of tanks, jets, and regular soldiers marching in long columns. This year’s parade was 45 minutes and there was a single T-34 tank (a WW2 tank) and military school cadets marching. It’s like going from a 5-star restaurant to just walking to the nearest McDonalds and ordering from the kids menu because you don’t have a car any more or money.

@Durnyful A sailboat with a deep keel dampens out the surface waves and wind better than a shallow keel vessel and rides better in the water due to the lower center of gravity without sails deployed at anchor.
1
@Durnyful Yes, it took the Bayesian to capsize at anchor in less than 5 minutes by what the old sailboat's captain anchored next to her said.

The Taiwanese pager firm Gold Apollo leased their name to a Hungarian firm BAC Consulting and didn’t design or make the devices. BAC Consulting is a shell company with only an office and no manufacturing operation. No one knows who made the pagers. The walkie-talkies will probably be the same, no one knows who made them.

Nigel Farage; “There isn’t an economic argument…” there isn’t a economic argument of smoking related illness affecting the Nation Health Plan like he said there isn’t an economic argument about Brexit.
