On April 7, 1994, Federal Express flight 705 out of Memphis, a FedEx flight engineer Auburn Calloway, tried to take over the plane and crash it, so his family could cash out on his life insurance policy. There were only the flight crew on the cargo plane he tried to crash and not any passengers. The pilots were able to overpower him and land.

  2. It could have been because of insurance. The pilot did it for his family if he was in financial problems and saw his death insurance as the only way out.
