  1. It was a Navy P-8A Poseidon, a sub hunter, based on the Boeing 737. It landed in the rain on a wet runway. The pilot either miss-judge the wet runway conditions or the plane’s anti-skid unit for the tires failed or wasn’t set for the wet runway or the plane‘s reverse thrust reversers failed.

  2.  @doughboysnerdly2745  You would only know if there was a mechanical failure by an after crash inspection. There is only two pilots flying, the others were non-flying crew members or passengers.
