Comments by "Reecom98" (@reecom9884) on "Urgent search for missing Titanic tourist submersible" video.
As the hours tick away it’s looking grim. The privately designed submersible was designed for deep depths, but with limited funding. The people inside are bolted in with no way of escaping without external help to get them out. To survive they need to be found on the surface with a ship having the equipment to remove the large bolts before the air runs out.

@David-es8dy They were operating on a "Shoestring" budget, a X-box game controller to operated the sub controls and a digital texting communication to guide the sub to the bottom without any onboard navigation or sonar. Since they lost communication after a short time, mid dive, they could have either had a catastrophic failure, struck a submersed cargo container that fell overboard, or got caught on abandon fishing nets.

@gotyoutriggered.8644 They never said that when they lost communication it was halfway to the bottom. The Titanic is 2.4 miles down. There was a military P-8 submarine hunter dropping sonar-buoys looking for the sub, the sonar-buoys are small and only work down to about 1,000 ft. What’s in the cargo container (oils, liquids, gas tanks) that fell overboard, its buoyancy can be deep below the surface in the water.

@gotyoutriggered.8644 The physics is based on displacement of the water versus the item in the water. Different liquids and solid properties will float at different levels in the water to reach equilibrium in the water. Have you ever seen a car radiator float tester that uses a float to see how high it floats to test the cooling liquid or the old liquid battery liquid tester? How about a college engineering class cement boat building contest?

@gotyoutriggered.8644 This year there way 661 containers lost at sea.
