For the working class a company “Job Perk” would be a functioning microwave, coffee maker, and a refrigerator in the lunchroom, if you’re lucky; while the “Rich” says their $1.7 million “Job Perks” of apartments, paid utilities, expensive home furniture, expensive cars, and private school for their kids, are justified and shouldn’t be taxable.

You can’t escape the Taxman; remember the IRS took down Al Capone. In the northwest, the Bonneville Dam is on the border between Washington and Oregon. Washington State doesn’t have a state income tax, while Oregon does. If you work on the dam, you have to keep what hours you work on the Oregon side of the dam, since this is considered taxable to Oregon. If you screw-up your hours on the Oregon side of the dam, they will come after you and not let it slide.

It seems that it’s always the working class without high-price accountants or high-price lawyers that are paying the full amount of income tax, while the “Rich” says it’s just “Job Perks” that doesn't need to be taxed; $1.7 million.

@johnengland8619 Federal civilian employees must also pay state income taxes if the work was done in the state with income tax.

@johnengland8619 "Active-duty service members file state income taxes in their state of legal residence. Military service members are not required to change their legal residence when they move to a new state solely because of military orders; they may maintain their legal residence in a state where they have previously established it" Militaryonesource.mil You can’t escape the taxman.

@johnengland8619 For active duty military it doesn't matter, for civilians it does matter. The state border line is in the middle of the river and the dam; which is marked.
