  1. That looks like a 737, which the captain has a nose wheel control on his side. During ground taxing the captain, on the left side of the plane normally does the taxing. The co-pilot could taxi the plane using the brakes. Normally for slow speed taxing the nose wheel control is used.

  2.  @CrazyForCooCooPuffs  You run both engines and brake one side to turn using the rudder peddle to use the rudder and brake.
