The suspect fought with an armed guard in the store while trying to shoplift. The private security guard said that the suspect was reaching for something in his bag and felt he was in danger. For a prosecutor he needs to show mens rea (guilty mind) or criminal intent; purposeful, knowing, reckless, and negligent.

@Vicswagg It does not show the full video in the news, you are just assuming it. The DA had the full video and eye witness statements on what happened.
