  1. The land the Panama Canal sits on was originally owned by Colombia. The US supported the Panamanians revolt breaking away from Columbia and signed the Panama lease treaty. The new country of Panama only leased the land, and didn’t give their land away. President Carter honored the end of the lease and returned the land to Panama.

  3. The people of the US territory must hold a referendum to ask to become a state. Then they must petition the US Congress for statehood, both Guam and Puerto Rico have turned down statehood. It’s a “Snowball’s chance in Hell” for Trump to economically force the Canadian citizens to dissolve their country that so many Canadian soldiers died to protect it for money.

  5. Trump is trying to “One Up” his pals Putin and Kim Jong-Un by taking Canada, Greenland and Panama, since Putin, with Kim Jong-Un’s help, he couldn’t even take Ukraine.

  6. During 911 Canada implemented “Operation Yellow Ribbon” mission where the Canadian Government accepted civilian airline flights which were diverted from US airspace. They also flew combat air patrols protecting US airspace as part of the NATO agreement to protect member countries. Trump’s comment about Canada is a slap in the face to a dedicated friend. All Trump understands is MONEY!
