In the 17th century people who were tanned from working the fields were considered ugly while pale people staying at home indoors not having to work were consider beautiful. In the 19th century people who were pale from working in factories were considered ugly while tanned people not having to work in dark factories and spending their time outdoors were considered beautiful. People who were overweight were considered beautiful because they were considered healthy and were expected to live pass their adolescent years and having many children versus the skinny malnourished who died young. What is beautiful and sexy has always been in the mind base on society‘s standards; which changes constantly over the years.
