  2.  @beedee9534  Russia doesn’t have either the military or economic force to be a dominate player on the world stage. They are still strong enough to cause problems on the world stage. Russia’s one dominant resource is still petroleum. The big difference between the US and its western allies and the Russians when they conduct large scale war games is that we conduct our large scale war games with our allies. When the Russians have large scale war games, they play mostly by themselves or sometimes with the Chinese; it’s good to have friends. Tom Barrack was peddling political influence to the Arabs for money. It was just greed, plain and simple. Sometimes it doesn’t matter how much money you have greed will over power logic. Look at Bernie Madoff, a billionaire stealing from millionaire investors.
