The so called “unsinkable” superyacht had a crew of 10 and carried 12 passengers with the latest modern safety equipment. 90% of the crew survived and only 50% of the passengers survived. An old sailboat many decades older anchored next to the modern “Party Superyacht” survived without any damage and rescued the 15 survivors. Like any mystery whodunit movie there are a lot of coincidences, but no hard evidence and only conjecture as what went wrong.

The Italian authorities said five of the dead were found together in a single cabin. In the limited time they had left to live with no escape possible, it’s human nature to want to be with your loved ones and friends huddled together; countless ancient grave sites have found people huddled together in their final moments knowing the end was near with no escape.

@bobdebouwer7835 There were air pockets in each of the individual cabins on the port side (three) as she went down, but they choose to stay together. The cabin Hannah was in, was blocked by furniture and couldn't be opened, that left two with air pockets.

@sonneversets3530 Boyle’s law states air volume decreases per depth. At 2 ATM (33 feet) the original air volume decreases by half, at 66 feet the air volume decreases to a third of its original air volume. The superyacht sank in 160 feet in a matter of minutes. After the initial capsizing the vessel would have sunk very quickly and very doubtful, they would have time to fight over the diminishing air bubble to breathe.
