Comments by "Reecom98" (@reecom9884) on "Ukrainian sniper takes out Russian soldier hiding in trees from miles away" video.
It looked like a kill, but it was not miles away. The center of the cross hairs was directly on the target. There was no sight adjustment used to compensate for the horizontal deviation of the projectile trajectory from the intended point of impact due to wind drift or Coriolis effect by using the wind marker or the bullet drop elevation marker.

@YourLocalShooter The world record for the longest confirmed kill was set in 2017 by a Canadian sniper operating in Iraq and stands at 3,450 meters (2.14 miles), according to the Canadian Armed Forces. The knobs are used to keep the markers within the visible range of the scope.

"The Coriolis phenomenon affects the flight of a bullet in the Northern Hemisphere so that when firing north or south, the bullet sways to the right and in the Southern Hemisphere to the left. The more your firing line is in the east-west direction, the less the effect of the Coriolis.." Lapua website.

@predatoredaria4557 The image is from a digital electronic scope with night vision enchantments. Digital electronic scopes can be fitted with a ballistic computer with a laser range finder. You can program the bullet characterizes and field input the wind drift information. The ballistic computer will move the cross-hairs directly onto the target without the shooter having to adjust using the markers. On the digital electronic scope there is no markers shown on the cross-hairs with a ballistic ranger finder. The digital scope image in the video appears to be only for night vision enchantment with the markers on the cross-hairs.

@maxy4301 Yes for very long distance shots he needs to account for the earth's rotation.
