  1. When firing a Self-propelled Gun (SPG) you prepare for enemy counter-battery return fire by doing a “Shoot and Scoot”; shooting a few rounds before leaving. The Russian soldiers use a very, very long white lanyard to pull the trigger on their gun from the back of the SPG before they have to run like “HELL” on foot not to become “Cannon Fodder“.
