  1. It’s ironic that the Ukrainians are doing to the Russians what the Russians did to Napoleon, slowly giving up territory for time. When Napoleon reached Moscow, it wasn’t strategically important since the Russians abandon Moscow and did a scorch earth policy. The Ukrainians are in a holding operation, maintaining the front line, while holding their major reserves until the arrival of the Western weapons to begin their counter offense to cutoff the Russian supply routes and bleed the Russians, like the Russians did to Napoleon’s winter march back to Paris.
