In WW2 the enemy would try to knockout the forward artillery observer located on high ground near them, the problem would be on which high ground. Which a small electric drone, the controller is in a known transmitter range from the drone. The Russians were blindly firing at possible location of the drone controller. The drone controllers are the modern forward artillery observers, playing hide and seek with the Russians.

@randybugger3006 Yes, for a custom designed military drone. If you look at the video, it was a small off-the-shelf commercially built drone by the guy holding the hand controller.

@randybugger3006 What's your point? The Russian artillery rounds were landing near the guy with the hand-held drone controller as he ran away to take cover, so are you saying that the guy was guiding the repeater drone and not the overhead drone?
