  1. It’s more like WW1 water jacketed cooled machine gun. You can see the circular cap on top were the water goes in and below the muzzle is the steam pressure relief valve; similar to a home water heater when the water gets too hot to relieve the pressure.

  2.  @eduwino151  They did it during the day or at night using multiple search lights against noisy Buzzbombs and not against small fiberglass drones with gas engines.

  3.  @eduwino151  Cheap, yes, but not very effective at night. At night the muzzle flashes will blind the gunner, the spotter will have to give direction to the gunner. You have to make do with what you have.
