The Russian convict soldier is 57 and given a military contract to leave prison if he fights in Ukraine. He gets to Ukraine kills his comrades and runs away. Sounds like a harden convict who is out for himself and figured his chances of surviving is better as a POW then surviving his military contract and be given a pardon to return to Russia.

@joshualieberman1059 A harden convict will only react to the present situation and care only about themselves. They don’t think too far ahead of what their actions may cause in the future, that’s why they are in prison in the first place; no self control.

@NLTops The guy was a convict who doesn't care about anyone but himself. His ethnic country doesn't matter, he wasn’t forced to fight in Ukraine. General Oleksandr Syrskyi chose to defend his chosen country, Ukraine, to fight against Putin. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy grew up as a native Russian speaker in Kryvyi Rih; a major city of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in central Ukraine. His second langue was Ukrainian growing up. Before his acting career, he obtained a degree in law from the Kyiv National Economic University. The guy you said is ethnic Ukrainian got a Russian citizenship and a Russian passport.

@NLTops “Oleksandr Syrskyi (Олександр Сирський) Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Syrskyi was born on July 26, 1965 in the village of Novinki, Vladimir Oblast, Russian SFSR, then in the Soviet Union into a military family of ethnic Russians. As of 2023, his parents and brother live in Russia…” Wikipedia.

@NLTops The convict shot his comrades while they were sleeping! Stop talking and giving justification and excuses for his motives!

@NLTops He might have been an ethnic Ukrainian in a Russian prison and could have stayed there. He could have escape while fighting in Ukraine, but killing his comrades in their sleep, even if they were Russians, is murder! Ukrainian soldiers don’t murder Russian soldiers in their sleep! You sound like a Russian BOT!
