  1. At least for NATO they don’t have to fight the WARSAW pact countries since most of them are now in NATO. Russia is now just by itself, but they still have nuclear weapons and have become a pariah nation like North Korea.

  2.  @Beelzeboogie  Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (QSD), the Quad is an informal strategic forum comprising four nations, namely -- United States of America (USA), India, Australia and Japan. Quad is to keep the strategic sea routes in the Indo-Pacific free of any military or political influence. It is basically seen as a strategic grouping to reduce Chinese domination. India may be part of the BRICS for economic trade, but it sees China as a military threat. The Chinese remembered the 100 years of shame when the Caucasians forced them to give up land, which included Russia. If you look at the modern Chinese made maps, they still call the Russian cites that were part of the China in the Pacific area ancient Chinese names.
