That's the Russian's supposedly best counter-battery radar unit (ZooPark-1). Able to detect incoming artillery, mortar, cruise missiles, and drones to direct counter-battery fire. It appears know one turned it on while it was in the "Kill Zone" of the Ukrainian military.

@sebasstein7014 Western countries use a multilayer defense radar system to defend against enemy fire, long range, medium range and automatic short range fire control systems. Multiple rockets, mortars, and drone attack had been launched against US Embassies but have been destroyed in flight with the use of counter-battery radar. Like the Russian ship Moskva being destroyed by a modified Ukrainian Neptune anti-ship missile, the Russians defense system has huge gap in their defense system.

@sebasstein7014 The counter-battery radar is for indirect fire with a pronounced trajectory and can detect the rounds miles away and determining where they were fired from without having to be in the "Kill Zone" . The radar is use to protect other units, this shows poor training.
