The NATO nations (31 countries) have agreed upon the ammunition calibers so that any NATO member is able to use each other’s ammunition in their weapons in war. Non-NATO countries in the EU and other industrialized countries outside of Europe have also agreed on using NATO military conformity on ammunition for their weapon systems. EU most likely will give ammunition out of their stockpile and ramp up the production of ammunition to restock their inventory; it’s not like they’ll give Ukrainian ammunition right off the manufacturing line.

@corey8420 The amount ammunition company can produce working 24/7 would be a drop in the bucking compared to what's in the stockpile.

@corey8420 Most Factories don't run 24/7 on a war time effort. There are limited amount of factories to replenish the EU stockpile, it will take years. For Russia, it will take multiple decades to produce ammunition and buildup the military because of economic sanctions and the loss of manpower.

@corey8420 The EU is an economic organization made up with member countries. Individual countries in the EU are the ones donating ammunition. The EU is providing funds as an organization to ammunition companies in the member EU countries to subsidize the cost.
