Geneva Convention III…Article 23, first paragraph, of the 1949 Geneva Convention III provides: “No prisoner of war may at any time be sent to, or detained in areas where he may be exposed to the fire of the combat zone. “ Geneva Convention IV…Article 83, first paragraph, of the 1949 Geneva Convention IV provides: “The Detaining Power shall not set up places of internment in areas particularly exposed to the dangers of war.”

During WW2 Axis POWs captured by American soldiers in Europe and North Africa were shipped to America to POW camps sailing across the Atlantic Ocean to meet the requirements of the Geneva Convention on the detainment of POWs. Ukraine is right across the boarder from Russia and the POWs could be easily transported by truck. It appears that Putin created a “False Flag” scenario having a Ukrainian POW camp so close to the front line, violating the Geneva Convention on POW internment camps, and then shelling it and then blaming Ukraine. Putin had lied when he said he wouldn’t invade and lied when he said he wouldn’t bomb civilian areas; this is another lie from Putin.
