  1. Being close to a tornado is like being shelled by artillery, most of the time it isn’t the explosion that kills you it’s the flying shrapnel. Like being shelled you have to find the low ground in a tornado to protect yourself against flying debris. There are pictures of spoons, forks, and butter knife going through a 2x4 lumber from a demolished home.
