The Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB) doesn’t exist in US inventory. Both SAAB and Boeing designed a rocket motor to be attached to the US small diameter guided bomb normally launched from a US fighter to be launched from the ground designed from spare parts in the US inventory. The US Air Force doesn’t need the GLSDB because the USAF will have air superiority in a war.

@keepyourbilsteins Yes, a very short turnaround from concept, design, testing, to combat ready.

@ggaggagga4 GLSDB weapon doesn’t exist in US inventory; the guided bomb and rocket motor are spare components. There is no Congressional approval required to release the spare inventory to SAAB/Boeing to make a new weapon system to ship to Ukraine, since the guided bomb is not dropped by a jet and rocket motor isn‘t considered a stand alone weapon system. That’s why the GOP MAGA didn’t object to a new weapons program, since the US military isn‘t going to buy it.

@jerseyshoredroneservices225 “Republicans Block Ukraine Aid Bill, Putting New Pressure on Border Talks...GOP demands immigration measures in exchange for supporting foreign-assistance package..." 6 Dec 2023 Wall Street Journal. All weapon programs for the US military or military foreign-assistance packages must be funded by Congress. Biden declared the military parts as spare and I guess the Europeans funded the SAAB/Boeing program and bought the system.

@jerseyshoredroneservices225 You need Congressional funded to start a military program. Biden declared the parts as spare and the Europeans paid for the system.

It’s amazing how greed can overcome common sense in people. A nineteen year old college dropout without prior medical experience comes up with a revolutionary blood testing unit that’s smaller than a suitcase to do testing that took a whole laboratory to do. It’s like a fraudster selling the “Brooklyn Bridge” to rich stupid people. She was the typical “Snake Oil Saleswomen”. The “Snake Oil” was sold as being able to cure every illness. The “Snake Oil” would taste terrible, but it contained a small amount of narcotic. The foul taste conformed to the buyer’s perception that medicine should taste bad, and the narcotic dulled his pain; so therefore it must be working. She assembled small units that had known blood testing devices installed that worked to a small degree, but they were not very accurate or were repeatable in their results. She used old white men with name recognition without any technical background to push her “Snake Oil” blood test units. She kept her technical staff isolated from each other, so no one could see the big picture; they just worked on small parts to assemble or program the device.
