@johnjones3208 SAS Squadron Structure: A Squadron: 1 (Boat) Troop – 2 (Air) Troop – 3 (Mobility) Troop – 4 (Mountain) Troop. SAS Troop is normally comprised of 16 men led by a captain with 4 troops within each squadron. The SAS is a special forces unit tasks for specific assignments and not to fight a prolong gun battle.

@johnjones3208 The Rangers in attack will have regular infantry behind them for reinforcement and follow on support. In rear guard they will have some air cover and in direct fire support as they delay the enemy allowing an orderly withdrawal of infantry. The two missions are different between the Rangers and SAS. The SAS is usually the ones holding the dirty end of stick without support behind enemy lines and almost no way of getting support.
