Human reactions to a disaster: Rescue, humanitarian aid, and then police and military to protect against looters. It seems it doesn’t matter where the disaster happens, unless it happens in a poor rural area where people didn’t have anything to loot.

25,000 strangers standing shoulder to shoulder on a little hill out in the open listening to the music because they couldn’t get tickets to the sold-out concert. There wasn’t any police or security for crowd control to keep people from stampeding to get a better view or porta-potties or any other amenities for such a large gathering, yet there were no fights or riots or anger! At any other large gathering this wouldn’t be possible!

It shows the extent of the corruption in Russia. The Russian ammo depot was supposed to be built using steel reinforced concrete. Normally the only way to destroy it would be using an expensive and specialized “Bunker Busting Bomb”; Ukraine used a relatively inexpensive propeller driven drone.

There was a tactical deployment error in using a single Magura V drone. The Air-to-Air R-73 missile is a heat seeker and has a limited lock-on angle and must be looking at the target. They should have used at least two Magura V drones to have one of them being able to turn toward the chopper to lock-on the R-73.

The police were supposed to be spread out along the barricade and watching for any suspicious activity in the crowd. The police were bunched up together talking among themselves and not noticing a little old lady pulling out a big metal container! What a joke!

It’s funny how many regular size North Koreans had to sit on the other side of the inflatable boat from Kim Jong-un to balance the inflatable boat.

Even asking the civil servants who works for her to look into the issue, which is outside of their paid duties for her personal issue is unethical and an abuse of her position.

The so called “unsinkable” superyacht had a crew of 10 and carried 12 passengers with the latest modern safety equipment. 90% of the crew survived and only 50% of the passengers survived. An old sailboat many decades older anchored next to the modern “Party Superyacht” survived without any damage and rescued the 15 survivors. Like any mystery whodunit movie there are a lot of coincidences, but no hard evidence and only conjecture as what went wrong.

I bet the Russian chopper pilot had to change his underwear! It’s the first time a Ukrainian sea drone was design to shoot and kill an aircraft! He couldn’t runway or the R-73 heat seeker would have gotten him. He had to hope he didn’t run out of gas before the sea drone!

China is only flexing its international muscle but doesn’t want it to become a shooting war. In the border dispute with India in the Himalaya, the Chinese military took away their soldiers’ modern weapons, the Indian military did the same thing. Both sides started to kill each other with rocks, wooden spears and other homemade weapons, but the kill count was greatly reduced, both are still in BRICS.

After walking very little up to take a group photo, Kim Jong Un is gasping for air and the guy next to him has to hold on to him.

A military retreat is a withdrawal in good order. The units retreating are still formed and able to resist the enemy as they withdraw from contact. A military rout is when the units loose all formation, they are running for their lives.

“Kremlin says the only way to protect Russia is to create a buffer zone with Ukraine…”18 Mar 2024 Reuters. Looks like Ukraine agree with Putin is creating the buffer zone border on the Russia side of the border!

"Cross as a group when the water is especially swift or deep. The strongest person should be slightly upstream to break the current for the others. Cross in a line holding onto each other's pack straps, side by side with arms linked, or in a tripod with arms linked..." National Park Service.
35
“Russian authorities blamed the blaze on fallen debris after the drones were intercepted by air-defence units…” It like a doctor saying the surgery was a success but the patient died. The Ukrainian “Kamikaze” drones one-way-mission was to start a fire one way or another!
32
“The European Union has banned all Nepali carriers from its airspace over safety concerns. Nepal's woeful record on aviation safety has been compounded by its treacherous geography…” 24 July 2024 Barron's.
31
In the West, the rocket motors are tested separate from the assembled rocket in stationary rocket motor test stand and then assemble with the rocket. The Chinese decided to skip a step to save money and tested the motors on an assemble rocket; it didn’t work!
30
Other countries only use regular military pilots for regular training formation display only. Using regular military pilots to perform air show maneuvers have proven fatal in the past instead of using only highly trained elite air show teams for non-routine flying formations.
26
The Iranians said earlier it was a “hard landing”, most other people would call it a non-survivable crash!

He gets to see if the movies were right about what's it like being in Serbian jail as a foreigner!

It looks like a forward observation post that was about to be overrun when the Bradley pulled them out of the tight situation.

The solo pilot had go down and let the other planes pass him before he did his upward maneuver. The other planes could not see him since he was below their wings, he could see the other planes above him through his glass canopy. It appears to be pilot error and a moment of inattention and spatial orientation.

The Albanians get paid by the Italians to bring migrants into their country without documents as along as they stay in the processing center and then remove them after determining their status. The migrants never set foot on Italian soil, so the Italian courts doesn’t have to get involved in long drawn-out court battles. The offshore processing center in Albania is like how an international airport works, the migrants wait in “No Country’s Sovereign land” waiting their immigration status.

@Millisekund Russian MOD would have bragged about it in the video.
17
French President Emmanuel Macron sent his envoy to get into Putin’s face. He’s the only one in the EU or NATO to publicly say he’s open to sending French soldiers into Ukraine without Putin attacking France.
17
Wagner took over a year of heavy fighting in Bakhmut to gain a few meters and they drove into Russian in mere hours without resistance.
17
The steel supports appear to be adequate, it might have been subgrade material, shoddy construction, poor inspection, poor quality control, or poor drainage design for the rainwater loading during a monsoon in the design calculations. Either way it must have been government corruption and bribery during the project.
16
“Tourism kills the city”, its not the tourism that kills the city, it’s unemployment! Most other cites are looking for cleaner industries like tourism to replace the air polluting manufacturing plants that once dominated their cities!
15
In the Arizona extreme daytime heat, why didn’t Trump hold the rally in the cool of the evening to give some relief? Answer; he didn’t care!
15
After having so many Russian massive ammunition storage depots and gigantic oil refineries destroyed by Ukrainian drones. The Russian MOD had to save face by saying they hit a drone assembly line and storage facilities, when they only hit a civilian apartment building.

"The average Briton was nearly £2,000 worse off in 2023, while the average Londoner was nearly £3,400 worse off last year as a result of Brexit, the report reveals.* It also calculates that there are nearly two million fewer jobs overall in the UK due to Brexit – with almost 300,000 fewer jobs in the capital alone..." 11 Jan 2024 London gov UK

A person who frequently changes their mind are fickle, inconstant, mercurial, and unstable. While all these words mean "lacking firmness or steadiness (as in purpose or devotion)," capricious suggests motivation by sudden whim or fancy and stresses unpredictability.

I guess the love is gone when the husband runs in front of his wife to get out of danger first!

“...growth is the key!” Yet the UK voted to get out of the largest single market right across the English Channel, the EU! What a joke! Without a market they can only sell to themselves or to a distance market incurring transportation costs.

Crocodile Dundee; “That’s not a whip. That’s a whip!” Holding up his bull whip.

"Bridging the gap: Army validates division-led river crossing...Defense experts have long considered U.S. bridging capability inadequate, particularly in the European theater...“The U.S. clearly does not have enough river crossing capability, and river crossing is an important part of what’s happening in Ukraine,” retired Army Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, who previously led U.S. Army Europe...bridging capability, are a corps-level asset..." 15 Dec 2023 Defense News. River crossing wasn’t a top priority for the US Army until the war in Ukraine with the abundance of rivers in Europe.

The jet appears to bank left at the last moment losing speed and stalling when it hit the freeway sound barrier wall. Its amazing the three passengers in the jet survived.

The reason five of the dead were found together in a single cabin was because in the limited time they had left to live with no escape possible, it’s human nature to want to be with your loved ones and friends huddled together; countless ancient grave sites have found people huddled together in their final moments knowing the end was near.

The Bayesian had a crew of 10 and had 12 passengers. Only the yacht’s chef died, and 6 passengers are missing and presumed drowned. The captain of the Bayesian, James Cutfield 51, told Italian police that he wasn’t monitoring the weather closely and the ship’s retractable keel was raised, even with an anchor depth of 160 feet. Lowing the retractable keel would have added stability and made it harder to capsize.

The last time the PLA fought a conventional war was in 1979 when they invaded Vietnam in a border conflict against the Vietnamese and lost, even having more weapons and troops and just marching across the border!
9
"Putin bans petrol exports as Russia runs on fumes..." 27 Feb 2024 The Telegraph.

With the judge giving a suspended 12-month sentence and only £1,500 fine, once they knew who he was it would have been cheaper to go to a debt collection company instead of using expensive taxpayer police resources for only a £1,500 fine!
9
The Italian authorities can’t detain any of the crewmembers from leaving the country before questioning them in their investigation in the sinking. I wonder how many of them are going to stay in Sicily.
8
@CONSTANTIN_W It's still not a "Bunker Buster Bomb".
8
In the video the warship appeared not moving and anchored near shore. There were no protection such as a armed deck watch around the ship or floating netting to prevent the "Kamikaze" boat drones from getting close to the ship.
8
The thin corrugated rusted metal on top of the tank wouldn't protect against rain, let alone an anti-tank missile!
7
Putin spends more rubles on his yacht then on warships.
7
The Russian military training for use of nuclear weapons on the battlefield is like their conventional weapons training going to the battlefield. Head to the front line in close column formation like they are marching in Red Square and won’t be seen by drones or attacked by “Kamike” drones or artillery.

What’s the big deal? It’s an honorary title and it’s not like he’ll get involve with the day to day operational structure of the military command. He’ll just dress up in his uniform and go to military parties and functions.
