  1. The last time the PLA fought a conventional war was in 1979 when they invaded Vietnam in a border conflict against the Vietnamese and lost, even having more weapons and troops and just marching across the border!

  2. The Communist Chinese PLA is even worst then the Russian army’s top-heavy chain of command. They have a totally separate politically chain of command from the military chain of command. Every military action requires approved by the Communist Party for political approval.

  3. @Ali-ln1gx The US got dragged into it by the French. The US did it because of the "Red Fear" of the spread of communism. It seem that old cultural hate between the Vietnamese and the Chinese was greater.
