  1. The Ukraine invasion exposed the untrained young Russian conscripts who are forced to fight. When the invasion started, there were no Russian patriotism of civilians joining to fight. On the Russian channels the Russian soldiers fighting on contract in Ukraine were complaining that they were told that their pay would be cut when they fight in Russia.

  2.  @attilamarics3374  The Russian contract soldiers are for the SMO and not for fighting in Russia. If they signup they will also be sent to Ukraine. Only the Russians from poor families living in the far east signup for the money, not the rich in Moscow.

  3.  @attilamarics3374  After the Feb 2022 invasion of Ukraine, Putin increased the military pay to get Russians to sign contracts to fight in the SMO since the yearly Russian conscripts couldn’t legally fight outside Russia.

  4. The Russians’ mindset has always been Dog Eat Dog, where corruption and greed are commonplace in Russia and if it wasn’t affecting them, they turned a blind eye. The Russians didn’t care about the “Meat Grinder” deaths because they were either convicts, mercenaries or poor people who signed contracts to fight.
