  1. By the size of the plane and the amount of the passengers it carried, it’s most likely an international flight. Domestic flights are very short haul in Japan. Most of the domestic travel is by fast bullet trains.

  2.  @wafflesarebest1702  You're right. It's one of the rare long haul flights. Most cheap domestic travel in Japan is either train or car ferry. Once at the airport, you still need to take a train or bus into the city.
