The State Constitution is based on the US Constitution. Other States Supreme Courts will be reviewing the Colorado Supreme Courts written ruling. The Colorado Supreme Court agreed that Trump violated the 14th Amendment; other US states can use this as precedence as part of their own state ruling if the US Supreme Court doesn’t rule before their own primary election ballots are printed.

@seonaidoriada1013 This isn’t a criminal case; it’s an election eligibility to run for federal elected office in the state meeting the requirements of US Constitution.

@SuburbanDMV “Section Five of the Fourteenth Amendment should be interpreted broadly to authorize Congress to advance the protections of due process, equal protection, and the privileges and immunities of citizenship.” Section 5 is about individual rights given to blacks after the civil war, section 3 is about banning insurrectionist from run for office. I guess your education is lacking

@User-gfys-0icu81 The Colorado state judge after conducting extensive fact find hears ruled that Trump did engage in trying to overturn the peaceful transfer of power but ruled that the 14th Amendment Section 3 did not include the office of the president. The Colorado Supreme Court agreed that Trump did engage in resurrection against the peaceful transfer of power but that 14th Amendment Section 3 did include the office of the president and that Trump will be off the ballot unless the US Supreme Court rules otherwise by January 4, 2024.

@darkgalaxy5548 Only the US Supreme Court can rule against a State Supreme Court.
