  1. For Trump and the GOP MAGA, it’s all in the numbers of constituents. The number of pediatric cancer patient families are few compared to the number of billionaire donors, right-wing ultra-conservative church groups, farmers, and other conservative groups that would benefit from the funding.

  2. Until Elon posted on “X” saying he didn’t like the bill and Trump followed his lead, it was a done deal by both sides of the aisle. Elon and Trump wanted an unlimited national debt limit in the bill to give them carte blanche to run up the national debt. Thirty GOP congressmen jumped ship and voted no and killed it. In baseball this would be called a self-inflicted or unforced error on Trump’s part.
