t looks like the helicopter had a tail rotor failure. The tail rotor acts as an anti-torque arm on the helicopter body to keep the helicopter from spinning uncontrollable due to the main rotor spinning. As soon as you lose tail rotor control you have to land before you start spinning like a top. The worst helicopter failure would be losing the main rotor; the second worst failure would be losing the tail rotor. A poor maintenance issue or mechanical failure due to stress.

@bobbyd535 The wind speed and direction wouldn't have overcome the counter-torqued of the tail rotor for the pilot to not recover in time.
