  1. The Russian state news said that the entire crew of the Moskva was evacuated and saved. The Russian state news said the same thing when the nuclear submarine Kursk sank in 2000. They are definitely causalities, if it was either a magazine explosion caused by accident or caused by two Ukrainian Neptune anti-ship missiles. Because the Moskva sank so quickly, it would appear that a majority of crew were injured or killed.

  2. Spy satellites are in low earth obit and move across the sky and are not in a geostationary obit. To see the missile strike, it would have to have been a lucky coincidence. Most likely it was military radio transmissions from the Moskva after being hit by the Neptune anti-ship cruise missiles and asking for assistance. The Russian military has been undisciplined in their security communication protocol.
