Geneva Convention III…Article 23, first paragraph, of the 1949 Geneva Convention III provides: “No prisoner of war may at any time be sent to, or detained in areas where he may be exposed to the fire of the combat zone. “ Geneva Convention IV…Article 83, first paragraph, of the 1949 Geneva Convention IV provides: “The Detaining Power shall not set up places of internment in areas particularly exposed to the dangers of war.” Ukraine is right across the boarder from Russia and the POWs could be easily transported by truck. It appears that Putin created a “False Flag” scenario having a Ukrainian POW camp so close to the front line, violating the Geneva Convention on POW internment camps, and then shelling it and then blaming Ukraine. Putin had lied when he said he wouldn’t invade and lied when he said he wouldn’t bomb civilian areas; this is another lie from Putin.

@dandaman4985 The Russians bused the holdout of Mariupol into Russian POW camps in Russia; the Ukrainian territories invaded by Russian are considered a war zone. The Russian speaking Ukrainian separatist in the Donbas do not have an international recognized government. There is no agreement to violet the Geneva Convention by Ukraine.

@dandaman4985 Show your source from a Western news media for this agreement. There has never been UN inspectors in Ukraine, again state what Western news media reported this. The Russian ethic separatists are basically traitors to their own country and instead of using their vote in a free and open election they chose to side with Putin to annex Ukrainian lands.
