Maybe the taxiway width is too narrow for the long wings of the A350, the runway red hold short line is too close to the taxiway for a jet to get pass if a jet is holding short. There have been previous problems with airport layout, confused taxiway signs, not enough space on the tarmac of the airport built 50 years ago for the movement of modern jets with longer wings. The NTSB’s report will come up with recommendations.

It appears that the smaller regional Delta plane was told to go to the runway red hold line and held short too far from the runway red hold line with its tail sticking too close to the taxiway and the larger Delta Airbus 350’s long wing cut the tail off the smaller regional plane as it was taxing to the longer runway.
