It’s hard to find someone who doesn’t want to be found. She was only found after she had developed dementia in her later years and let slip about some of the details about her past.

@A Yoga Diary To travel from Pennsylvania to Puerto Rico and having dementia isn't very likely or living for over thirty years in Puerto Rico under the radar isn't very likely. They found her after more than 30 years in Puerto Rico when she started to develop dementia.

@danielcifuentes7198 Mental health treatment is voluntary unless a person poses a serious risk of physical harm to themselves or to others in the near future, then it can become involuntary. She appears to not want treatment and wasn't harming herself or others.

@Hannah-go3xo Dementia affects memory usually in short term events, a lot of times they remember events that happened long ago. If one of your love ones was missing, you wouldn't want them to bother?

Some mysteries can never be fully resolved, as to why she left and what she did in Puerto Rico all those years because of her dementia. They should just make her last years comfortable in Puerto Rico; with her dementia she probably will not even recognized them.

@tcrijwanachoudhury Who? Her husband was searching for her when she left. She was an adult with no criminal record that didn't want to be found.
